General Notes: Husband - William D. Himrod


He obtained a good education, became his father's assistant, and spent his entire life engaged in farming and kindred pursuits. At the time of his death he owned a part of the old home farm and resided thereon. He was a liberal supporter of the Presbyterian church, of which his wife and children were members. He served as school director of his township and used his influence always in behalf of good educational advantages for the youth of his neighborhood. He was a Republican in politics, but never sought or accepted public office.
