General Notes: Husband - Levi Hill


Together with his brothers Eli and Jacob, he engaged in the manu­facture of salt, drilling the third well in their area for the purpose. They drilled alto­gether about eight wells, becoming extensive manufacturers in that line.

With three of his brothers, Eli, Dan­iel, and Hiram, he engaged in the mercantile business at Leechburg, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, being extensively in­terested in that line for about four years.
