General Notes: Husband - John Knappenberger


The Knappenberger family is of German origin. The first of the family to come to America arrived here in 1748, in the ship “Christmena,” landing at Philadelphia. The family gradually centered in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at Manordale.

He was a farmer by occupation and came to Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, in 1837. He died at the age of seventy-eight years.
