General Notes: Husband - John N. Hile

After marriage, he purchased a farm-a valuable tract of 118 acres, fifty of which were cleared and under a high state of cultivation. The old house was replaced by a comfortable two-story frame residence; and a large barn and other outbuildings were erected, making it a most desirable farm, pleasantly located one mile west of Kerrmoor. It was underlaid with a good grade of coal. Mr. Hile was reared a Democrat, but in later years affiliated with the Prohibition party. He was elected to a number of township offices of honor and trust, the duties of which he faithfully discharged. In religious belief he and his wife were Methodists, and he served as trustee of the Church.
