General Notes: Husband - Abel Hilborn


He was a native of Roaring Creek Valley, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the greater portion of his life, following charcoal burning as an occupation. He had a good education for his day, and was much respected as a citizen, and was a consistent member of the Baptist Church for many years. He took keen interest in the questions of the time, and was a firm adherent of the Republican party.
