General Notes: Husband - Philip Barnhart

He was a soldier of the Revolution, in which he served through three campaigns. He moved from eastern Pennsylvania to Lycoming County in 1782, and in 1806 changed his habitation to Boggs township, in Centre County. He rented land from Judge Huston, and while his sons worked the farm he followed his trade of weaving in a shop that he had set up on the property. He lived in Boggs township until 1840, and died in Howard township in 1844, at the age of eighty-four.

He was a pioneer of Bald Eagle Valley, Centre County, Pennsylvania, who served for seven years in the Revolutionary War, and was one of the most distinguished and influential citizens of his community, filling many important public positions.
