General Notes: Husband - Hon. Vincent Miller


He was educated at the common schools, and followed farming principally as his occupation. He was a republican, and was prominently identified, politically, with Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was elected to the legislature in 1868, and re-elected in 1877, serving his constituents with credit and ability, and held other offices of trust. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He and his wife had eight children; six were still living in 1889.
