General Notes: Husband - Jeremiah Hewitt

---

He grew to manhood on the home in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. After his marriage he secured a farm in Fox township where he made his permanent home. He was active in public affairs, filling various township offices and taking part in local politics as a supporter of the Republican party. Mr. Hewitt was a prominent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, which he served as steward for many years, and to which his wife also belonged.
