Obit: Myers, Ora Edwin
Ora Edwin Myers, aged 69 years, eight months and four days, died March 24 following an illness of only three weeks' duration. Funeral services in his honor were held in his home Saturday, March 27, 1940 with Rev. J. V. Mountain officiating. Interment followed in the Myers lot in Georgeville Cemetery.
Although the weather and roads were extremely bad, the funeral was largely attended. Ora was the son of Solomon and Catherine Jane (Weaver) Myers and one of a large family. After the deaths of his father Solomon Myers and his brother, Marion, he became the sole owner and operator of the Myers Flour mill, which was destroyed by fire in 1934, a few years before his death. After the fire he turned his entire attention to his farm labor, making a specialty of potatoes. He was one of the best of millers.

Mrs. Ora Myers died in the Oil City hospital on April 23 after a few days' illness and only the latter few days being spent in the hospital. The body was removed to the Doverspike Undertaking establishment and soon brought to the home near Nickleville where funeral director Fleming B. Criswell had charge.
Mrs. Myers was formerly "Sadie" Hetzler of Rockland and married O. E. Myers 18 years ago. She is survived by her husband who is the miller and eight children: Kernick, Russell, Ethel, Chelsea, Joy, Martha, Ora Jr., and baby Wayne only 14 days old. Two children preceded the mother to the grave. ... Her mother, Mrs. Sarah Hetzler, it will be remembered, died only a few weeks ago. Funeral services were held in the Myers home at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25. Her pastor, Rev. Charles I. Steffee, officiated and delivered a splendid address to the large attendance of the living.
