General Notes: Husband - Millard Fillmore Whitehill

He was born in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, and remained there through his school period, and first entered into business there.
He was yet young when he began his operations in the oil fields. From the Clarion County fields he pushed forward into the McKean County oil sections and later worked in the oil regions of Allegany County, New York. He was one of the first operators who took note of the richness of the Washington County fields and from then on was identified with oil and gas developments there. He was also interested in the Oklahoma fields and for some years was also operating in Illinois.
