He was the oldest of his brothers, and came with his father to America in 1710. He was married in Europe, and had a large family, some of his children being grown and married. He settled near Wabank, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on the west side of the Conestoga creek. He was the only one of the family that settled in Manor township, and having several children grown when he came there, the family became very numerous.
