General Notes: Husband - Yost Herbach

He emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1736, and settled in Maxatawny Valley, Berks County, where he became the owner of an hundred acres of land on Maxatawny creek. In 1743 he removed to Hellam township, York County, where he was the owner of a tract of nearly two hundred acres of land, near where Kreutz Creek Church later stood. He was a member of the Reformed Church and helped to found the German Reformed congregation at York. He was twice married.

He was a Swiss, who, with his family, came to America in 1736, and first settled in Maxatawny Valley in Berks County, Pennsylvania, midway between Reading and Allenton. They were members of the Reformed Church in Switzerland, and they and their descendants continued in that communion. In 1743 they moved to York County, on Breutz Creek, between Columbia and York.
