General Notes: Husband - Lawrence Sentman
When sixteen years of age he entered the Revolutionary Army in the place of his father who was drafted; served out his time of enlistment and went a second time as a substitute. When eighteen years old he was drafted, again entered the service, participated in six campaigns, and remained until the end of the war. After the war he bought a farm in New London Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was twice married and by his first wife had five children; by his second, he had seven, all of whom lived to be men and women.
