General Notes: Husband - Davies Wallace, Esq.

He passed the greater part of his life in East Earle township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where, for upwards of fifty years, he was engaged in the mercantile trade. For five years previous to his decease, he was an officer in the Naval Department of the Custom House of the District of Philadelphia, where, in the faithful discharge of his duties, he contracted the disease which terminated his life.
For forty years, he was a prominent and influential member of the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church. Perhaps no trait in his character stood forth in more prominent relief, than his disposition to labor for harmony among his brethren.
