General Notes: Husband - John B. Henderson

He was born on the homestead farm in Venango County, Pennsylvania, where he also grew to manhood. In 1860 he engaged in the oil business, being one of the pioneer operators. He was also engaged quite extensively in farming, and resided upon his homestead of two hundred acres, about three miles north of Clintonville. This farm was originally owned by the Davidson family, who were among the pioneers of Venango county. He and wife were members of the Church of God, and politically he was an ardent Prohibitionist.
