General Notes: Husband - D. R. Vaughn


He was educated at the district schools till the age of seventeen years, when he went to Kansas for a period. On his return he began studying telegraphy at Cochranton, Crawford County, PA. He was soon after appointed an agent for the A. G. W. Railroad at Utica, PA, and served five years. He was then employed by the Lake Shore at Hadley, where he continued for seventeen years, or until his election to the office of county clerk. He was school director, auditor and treasurer of Deer Creek Township. He was a member of Blue Lodge, A. F. & A. M., of Jamestown, and Chapter of Greenville. He and wife were Presbyterians and he was a Republican.
