General Notes: Husband - Archibald Titus


He was born in the state of Delaware, son of a Scotch immigrant, and immigrated to Hickory Township, Mercer County, PA, in the year 1802.
He did his full share of the pioneer duties of his day, was a stockholder of the first turnpike roads built in Western Pennsylvania, and was a member of the militia regi­ment called out to defend the building of the fleet of Commodore Perry, at Erie, in 1813.
