General Notes: Husband - Timothy T. Root

He was educated in the local schools. When he left the home farm he went to Richmond, Ohio, where he engaged in the manufacture of staves for three years. He then returned to the home farm, and was there for several years, later buying lands in Cambridge Springs. He built a large house and barn in the town and owned a place of one hundred and forty acres. In 1906 he built another home in the downtown section, and retired from active business. He built thirty-seven houses in Cambridge Springs, as well as two business blocks.
He and his family were Baptists.
He served on the borough council, was school director, and an ardent worker on all the progressive movements for the community.
