HARRISON.
Mrs. Sarah Jane Harrison, widow of the late Joseph L. Harrison, died after a brief illness at the home of her son, Charles Harrison, Green township, Forest county, Pa., on Friday morning, Nov. 1, 1912. The deceased was born near Helen Furnace, Clarion county, Pa., on Nov. 20, 1832, her maiden name being Miss Sarah Jane Porter. She married Joseph Harrison in 1864, by which union four children were born, but one of whom, Mr. Chas. Harrison, survives. One child by a former marriage, Mrs. Joseph Brothers, of Leeper, Clarion county, is also living. She was the step-mother of County Commissioner W. H. Harrison, of this place, John H. Harrison, of Cadillac, Michigan, Samuel P. Harrison, of Marienville, Pa., and Mrs. John Lusher, of Titusville, Pa., children of Mr. Joseph L. Harrison by a former marriage. Throughout her life she was a kind mother, both to her own children and those motherless ones confided to her care. A large circle of friends who loved her as a friend and neighbor regret her death and will hold her in fond memory. Funeral services were conducted at the home of her son by her pastor, Rev. G. A. Garrett, of the Free Methodist church, of which she was a member, on last Sunday afternoon, followed by interment in Riverside cemetery here.
