General Notes: Husband - Maj. James Harper


In 1800, when he was only eight years old, his father moved from York County, Pennsylvania, to Beaver County, and settled in Hanover township. His father was a miller and built the Harper Mills in Hanover township.
He himself was also a miller.

He was a miller and a farmer. He was a major in the old commission, and a justice of the peace for many years. He was an elder of the United Presbyterian Church of Frankfort.
