General Notes: Husband - Christian Harnish

His grandfather settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on his arrival in America from Germany, where he was born.

He grew to manhood and married in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and in 1800 migrated to what later became Morris township, Huntingdon County, where he bought one thousand acres of wild land. Part of this he improved, and on the farm later owned by Peter K. and Samuel Harnish, built himself a house, where he died in the spring of 1839.
