General Notes: Husband - John Nicholas Hoffman


He settled on a farm near Short Mountain. He was the owner of a large tract of land, later divided into a number of farms. He deeded land to the congregation of Hoffman's church, for church, school and burial purposes. He was a soldier of the Revolution, and participated in the battles of Brandywine and Germantown.
