Kathryn Margaret Klingler
Kathryn Margaret Klingler, 92, of Knox, died at 6:55 p.m. Mon­day, June 2, 1997, in Allegheny Manor, Shippenville RD 1, fol­lowing a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 29, 1904, in Beaver Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of John and Mary Hahn Hanst.
Mrs. Klingler had made her home with her niece, Kathryn Lauffer, from 1990 until Novem­ber 1996 when she became a resi­dent of Allegheny Manor.
She had worked as a secretary at Keystone High School in Knox.
Mrs. Klingler was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Knox RD 2 and was a member of the Women of the ELCA. She also was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
She was married to Lawrence Klingler, who died Nov. 16, 1945.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Irma Hanst of Allegheny Manor; four nieces, Mary Cope of Emlen­ton, Kathryn Lauffer and Rosalind Knight, both of Knox, and Bette Jane Brown of Orlando, Fla.; four nephews, Paul Whitehill of Knox; Karl Switzer of Brookfield, Fla., Keith Switzer of Aurora, Ohio, and Charles Hanst of Orlando, Fla.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Klingler was pre­ceded in death by four sisters, Myrna Klees, Anna Wentling, Elizabeth Whitehill and Edith Switzer; and a brother, Roland Hanst.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. R. Dawson Tornes, pastor of St. Paul Luther­an Church, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Paul Union Cemetery at Knox RD 2.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Knox Public Library.
