General Notes: Husband - Hugh McGahey

He was born in the North of Ireland, and was of a Scotch-Presbyterian family. When a child he came with his parents to America, settling in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was a soldier in the War of 1812 and died some years after his return from the war. He was buried in the cemetery at Dr. Herren's Church, in Pittsburgh.
