General Notes: Husband - D. O. Kamerer

He attended school in both Fairview and Sugar Creek townships. When eighteen years old he began working on the home farm in Butler County, and was so successful that he took charge of it and continued to operate it until his marriage, when he was twenty-four years old. At that time he moved to Oakland township, but after five years returned to Fairview township, and for a year was engaged in teaming. He then went to Clarion County, and for a year conducted a mercantile establishment, but sold to go to Brady's Bend township, Armstrong County, where for three years he conducted a dairy, delivering milk to East Brady. At the expiration of the three years he came to a 100-acre farm, which was known as the Old Boltz property. After taking possession of this farm he erected new buildings and put the property in excellent shape. He carried on general farming, and was considered one of the advanced agriculturists of his township. He and his wife belonged to the English Lutheran Church of Sugar Creek township. Since casting his first vote Mr. Kamerer was always a Republican. For some years he served as a school director. He belonged to the Grange at Kaylor and to East Brady Lodge, No. 640, F. & A. M.
