General Notes: Husband - Orville Thompson Minor


He was brought up and educated in Elk and Clarion counties, Pennsylvania. At an early age he entered into the life of the woodsman, and he served as foreman for large manufacturers of lumber, and operated in Elk, Jefferson and Clarion counties. His home was later at Angelica, New York. In the Civil war he enlisted in the Eleventh Pennsylvania Reserves, and he was in the field until the close of the war, in 1865. He was an ardent Republican, and held many township offices, filling all to the satisfaction of the people.
