Mary E. Bell, 72, formerly of Cherrytree and Reno, died at 10:40 pm Saturday in Venango Manor.
Born July 28, 1912, in Rockland, she was a daughter of Calvin and Mary Alice Stover Hanby.
On April 15, 1942, she married Robert B. Bell. He died February 24, 1980.
She was a lifelong resident of Venango County.
Survivors include a son, Cal­vin Ross of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Martha) Exley of Reno; a brother, Theodore Han­by of Union City; five grandchil­dren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lannie Ross; a brother, Willis Hanby.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Jonathan H. Hutchinson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday in the funer­al home with Rev. James Wil­liams, pastor of Reno United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Bell, who died Saturday at Venango Manor, were con­ducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jonathan H. Hutchinson Fu­neral Home, Oil City.
The Rev. James Williams, pastor of the Reno United Meth­odist Church, officiated. Inter­ment was in Sunset Hill Memori­al Gardens.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hanby of Union City attended from out-of-town.
Two of Mrs. Bell's sisters pre­ceded her in death, namely Pearl Coast and Viola Mangel.
