General Notes: Husband - Dr. John Anderson


He studied medicine at Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and entered upon the practice of his profession in 1796, in which he became very successful. For years he was the president of the Allegheny Bank at Bedford, and also president of the Chambersburg and Bedford turnpike company; besides being actively engaged in other enterprises.
