General Notes: Husband - John Anderson

He came from County Derry, Ireland, and located near Mathew's woolen factory, in what is now E. Wheatfield township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in the autumn of 1817. He was a weaver and worker in all the departments of the manufacture of cloth. From his first location in the county he was connected with this mill, and after his first year's labors therein was made foreman.
In the spring of 1820 he removed to Taylorsville, having purchased a tract of land in its vicinity, and from that time to the date of his death, was engaged in farming. He served as justice of the peace for five years, and held the position of school director, and other offices of similar responsibility.
