General Notes: Husband - James Gardner Anderson


When he completed the course in the local public schools, he attended Mercersburg Academy and Washington and Jefferson College, graduating from the latter in 1913 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. He entered the new company just formed by his father and brother, the Butler Plaster & Concrete Company. He was associated also with the Standard Plate Glass Company, in the fuel department. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, of the Kiwanis and Sterling clubs, and of the Board of Commerce. Like the other members of his family he was a communicant of the First Presbyterian Church.
