An early settler of Allegheny Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.

From Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, he came to Butler County in 1804, settling in the neighborhood of Six Points, where he erected two grist mills, the first ever built in that section. His farm was later owned by T. A. Crawford.
