General Notes: Husband - Lewis S. Yeager

He resided with his parents until his marriage and then cultivated a portion of the old farm for about a year and subsequently engaged in the sawmill business in West Virginia, one year, and then returned home and associated himself with his brother in several agricultural enterprises for about three years. He then located on his own homestead, on which he conducted both general farming and dairy operations, and in both branches of agriculture he made a decided success. He was also a breeder of registered Duroc swine. He was a leading Democrat, serving multiple terms as a member of the school board, and for many years was a faithful worker in the Methodist church. He received an injury in his youth which caused a white swelling on his left lower limb and this made him a cripple ever after.
