General Notes: Husband - Peter Shank

He attended school in Washington County, Maryland, and was reared to farm work. He came to Antrim township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, where in the spring of 1881 he bought a farm of 111 acres, located one and one-half miles from Greencastle. It was the old Pensinger homestead, the father of Sheriff Pensinger having owned the property. Upon this land Mr. Shank carried on general farming. Like his father and grandfather he was a member of the Mennonite Church.
