General Notes: Husband - John Groser


He made a location at Bully Hill, Venango County, Pennsylvania, immediately after his arrival in America from Switzerland, his birthplace. He was twenty-three years old when he came to America. After some employment at farming he purchased a tract at his first location, later locating in a part of Oakland Township later embraced in Cornplanter, where he remained until his death. He died at the age of fifty-one years.

He was not only respected as one of the thrifty, substantial farmers of his day, but also well known as a local preacher and for his activity in religious enterprises.
