General Notes: Husband - Adam Groff

After his marriage he located at once on the farm near Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, being the first of the family to take up his residence in Union County. He was a successful farmer, and though somewhat below the average height was capable of much hard work. In his business dealings he was noted for scrupulous fulfillment of obligations. Although not especially fond of political office, he served one term as supervisor of Buffalo township, and was an unwavering supporter of the principles of the Republican party. He and his wife were both members of the Reformed Church.
