General Notes: Husband - Arthur Ernest Grine


He spent his boyhood at Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, and attended the schools there. When a young man he entered the employ of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, with which he was connected as brakeman and flagman, and later was promoted to conductor. He remained with that company about five years. He then returned to Slippery Rock and became identified with the Manufacturers Light & Heat Company and beginning in 1920 was low pressure foreman.
He was a Republican and served as chief of police and as a member of the town council. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias.
