General Notes: Husband - George Gray

---

He learned the blacksmith's trade, which he followed about twenty-five years, and then began farming. He was the father of six sons and two daughters and celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of his marriage, all the children being present. [HAC 1889, 463]

Upon attaining a suitable age he learned the blacksmith's trade, and followed this for many years in North Versailles township, Allegheny County, between East McKeesport and Turtle Creek. Later in life he became an extensive land owner and engaged in farming. [GPHWP, 1210]

He was still quite young at the death of his father. Upon coming to manhood he learned the blacksmith's trade, which he followed for many years on the old Greensburg turnpike, between East McKeesport and Turtle Creek. The shop was still standing in 1907, though in a dilapidated condition.
