Alvah L. Prindle, seventy-seven, of 618 Howe Ave., died Monday morning at Hamot Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Greenfield Twp., Aug. 30, 1890, he was the son of Charles and Carrie King Prindle. He retired in 1955 from the General Electric Co., where he had been employed for 38 years. He had been production manager there. Mr. Prindle was a member of the Wayne Park Baptist Church. He belonged to the Tyrian Lodge 362 F. and A.M. and the Scottish Rite of Erie, the G. E. Retired Association. He was also a member of the Golden Age Club in Harborcreek. He is survived by his wife, Edith Gray Prindle, one son, Don of Elmhurst, Ill., and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Genelle) Chuska of Pittsburgh. He was the grandfather of Paula Perry and Ross Prindle and Jeffery and Christianne Chuska. Friends may call at the Warren W. Wood and Son Funeral Home, 139 W. 21st, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Huntwork, Wayne Park Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in South Wales Cemetery in Greenfield Twp.

Edith Prindle, 91, a resident of Baptist Homes Society, 489 Castle Shannon Blvd., Pittsburgh, died there Monday. She was born in Harborcreek, on Jan. 18, 1894, a daughter of the late John and Lucia Richmond Gray. Mrs. Prindle was a member of Wayne Park Baptist Church, and a life member of Erie Chapter 21, Order of Eastern Star. Besides her parents, her husband Alvah L. Prindle, died previously. Survivors include a son, Donald G. Prindle of Elmhurst, Ill., and a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Genelle) Chuska of McMurray, Pa. Friends may call at the Warren W. Wood and Son Funeral Home, 139 W. 21st, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a service there Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Wales Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Baptist Homes Society, 489 Castle Shannon Blvd., Pittsburgh, Pa.
