General Notes: Husband - Capt. John Justice

He was a ship carpenter, came to Erie, Pennsylvania, to help build Perry's fleet, and became one of the city's most honored citizens.

General Notes: Wife - Ann L. Gray

Her father was Sheriff of Erie County, Pennsylvania.

She learned to make cartridges for the soldiers during the War of 1812, and lived to again show her womanly patriotism and love of liberty by knitting socks for the soldiers in the War of the Rebellion.
