The founder of this family in the new world, he emigrated from Waterhill, England, to America, whither he was accompanied or followed by his children, William, Sarah and Mary Ann. His ancestors belonged to the Scotch clan of Graham, and emigrated into England during the troublous times of the church in Scotland.
