General Notes: Husband - Moses Latta
He was born in Mt. Pleasant township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, six miles north of the borough of Mt. Pleasant, and in 1833 removed to Unity township where he successfully carried on farming until his death.
During the War of 1812 he enlisted in the company commanded by Capt. Reynolds, but before the company reached the seat of war, Jackson's victory at New Orleans had caused Great Britain to sign a treaty of peace, and the troops returned home.
