His birth occurred in Germany, but during his childhood he left the old home in Prussia, and, with his father, came to the New World.


General Notes: Wife - Annie M. Graff


A native of Switzerland, about 1803, she was brought to America by her parents, and became one of the first settlers of Beaver township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. After marriage she and her husband located in Shippenville, where they made their home until called from this life, she dying some years previous to her husband's death.
