General Notes: Husband - [Ancestor] Graff


This family resided at Grafenauer, near Manheim, Germany, Graf signifying a title of nobility, and auer, denoting a castle, hence Grafenauer means Graff's castle. The religious proclivities of the Graffs in those days, were what were termed "Watchmen of the Lord," a denomination corresponding with the Mennonites.
