General Notes: Husband - Robert Thompson

This family was Scotch, and had settled in Ireland, whence they emigrated to America in 1716. They located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. In 1790 the Thompson family with about twelve cousins or relatives crossed the Allegheny mountains with packhorses, settling in the wilderness near Altman's Run, Indiana County.

He was born in Ireland in 1732 and came to America in 1770, settling near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. In 1790 he migrated to Indiana County, near Lewisville. [HIC 1913, 611]
