General Notes: Husband - Charles F. Richey

He was born on the Foster farm on Bully Hill, near Franklin, Venango County, Pennslyvania, but resided on the Rheem farm since childhood. He was educated in the local public schools. He and his brothers had early opportunity to learn the practical work of oil production, and all were engaged in the business with their father, in time succeeding to his interests. They were closely related in business, though they operated independently for some years beginning in about 1912. He occuppied the homestead at Ajax, on the old Rheem farm, and his brothers were located about a mile distant, on Bully Hill. There were one hundred and thirty-three productive wells on the two hundred and fifty acres which they controlled, with a rich yield.
