General Notes: Husband - David Wilson Kuhn


He was an alumnus of Ohio University. He studied law with Honorable D. J. Neff, of Altoona, Pennsylvania. He practiced law in Knoxville, Tennessee, for a few years, and then for some years was a member of the Pittsburgh bar, his office being at No. 615 Bakewell building.

He received an university education, studied law and was admitted to Blair County bar in 1891, when he removed to Knoxville, Tennessee. He practiced law in Knoxville, Tennessee, until 1900, when he came to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and became counsel and chairman of the board of directors of the Pittsburgh-Westmoreland Coal Company.


General Notes: Wife - Antoinette Golay


Through her mother she was related to Clara Barton, of the Red Cross society.
Her father, a native of Geneva, Switzerland, came over during the civil war to help the colored people regain their freedom. Miss Barton found him wounded in a hospital in Washington, took him to her own home to be nursed, where he met and married her niece.
