General Notes: Husband - William Glass


He was educated at the log schoolhouse of Robinson township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and followed farming all his life, owning at one time three hundred acres of land.
He was school director and tax-collector for thirty years, and supervisor for twenty-five years. He is a member of the U. P. Church, and a republican.

He owned 340 acres of land, but after becoming advanced in years disposed of the greater part of his real estate, retaining a farm of ninety-six acres upon which he resided. He was a member of Session of the U. P. Church for over forty years. In politics he was first a Democrat, then joined the Know-nothing party, finally becoming a Republican.
