General Notes: Husband - William A. Gillespie


From Pennsylvania, he moved south and there married. He served in the Confederate army, in the Twentieth Mississippi, was captured at Fort Donelson, and held in a northern prison for eighteen months. He was subsequently exchanged and returned to his home.
