General Notes: Husband - Robert Lyle
He and his brother, John, sailed in 1741 from Belfast, Ireland, and after a long and tedious voyage landed at New York in the spring of 1742. Some time after their arrival they purchased a tract of land near the present city of New Brunswick, New Jersey. From there he moved to Forks Township, in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, in 1747, just after his marriage.
He was a justice of the peace, and an elder in the Presbyterian Church.
Of this family, all the sons excepting David served in the Revolutionary war. [Another source says they all served.]
