She had united with the church when extremely young. She graduated from the Clarion State Normal School in 1897. She was corresponding secretary of both the Women's Foreign Missionary Society and of the League, also served for a time as President of the Junior League. Most of her life was spent in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, except one year when the family lived in Meadville.
